Extraction

SnowConvert Studio

1. To start the extraction process you first need to authenticate to access the Redshift database catalog. There are two authentication methods:

   • IAM (Identity and Access Management)

   

   IAM Authentication

   • Standard

   

   Standard Authentication
2. Once the authentication data has been provided, click on the “Explore DB Catalog” button. A successful connection will allow you to browse all the objects in the catalog.

SnowConvert Studio Extraction

1. Subsequently you can select the objects that you want to be extracted from the data catalog to proceed with the conversion process.

Currently only tables, schemas and databases are available.

SnowConvert Studio Extraction

Click on “Reload catalog” if you want to update and reload the objects in the catalog.

1. Please select the objects you want to extract and click on “Extract Objects” . Wait until the objects are correctly extracted.

Complete extraction

1. You can click on “Go to extracted objects” to see the input code with all the objects extracted from the catalog. Finally click on “Continue” to start the Conversion process.
