Definition

User-defined function (UDF) for the INTERVAL_MULTIPLY function.

PUBLIC.INTERVAL_MULTIPLY_UDF
(INPUT_PART VARCHAR(30), INPUT_VALUE VARCHAR(), INPUT_MULT INTEGER)

Parameters

INPUT_PART VARCHAR

The value of the multiplication e.g. 'YEAR TO MONTH'.

INPUT_VALUE VARCHAR

The interval that is multiplicated to.

INPUT_MULT INTEGER

The numeric expression to be multiplied.

Returns

The result of an expression is a multiplication between an interval and a numeric expression.

Migration example

Input:

IN -> Teradata_01.sql
SELECT INTERVAL '6-10' YEAR TO MONTH * 8;

Output:

OUT -> Teradata_01.sql
SELECT
PUBLIC.INTERVAL_MULTIPLY_UDF('YEAR TO MONTH', '6-10', 8);
