The Snowpark Migration Accelerator (SMA) is a tool developed and managed by Snowflake, but it is not a part of the general Snowflake Service. While the assessment capability in the SMA is currently a free feature, the code conversion capability requires an access code.
To request an access code, use the help menu (shown below) to request an access code.

There are two primary capabilities within the Snowpark Migration Accelerator:

Assessment: Before getting to the conversion, the SMA runs an assessment. For this assessment, you do not need an access code, and you will be able to run an unlimited quantity of code through the tool. However, you will only be able to view the output reports. (Note: Any reference to using SMA in "Qualification" mode is also referring to assessment.) .
Conversion: After assessment, the SMA can run a conversion. This conversion requires an access code. When running a conversion, you will not only be able to view the output reporting present in the assessment version, but you will receive the output converted code (compatible with Snowflake) along with some additional reports. .
